Alexis and Huston’s engagement session will probably always be at the top of my list of favorites simply because of how natural they were in front of my camera! The love they share for each other, their story, and the excitement that this year holds for them is remarkable. So excited to finally blog this special evening!
Can you believe that these photos were taken in chilly 20 degree weather? We certainly made the most of it and this stunning couple made my job so much fun. They were up for an adventure so an adventure is what I planned and I’m extremely happy with how it all turned out. We even incorporated my vintage 1983 Volvo into the shoot! I love what they chose to wear for this session because the colors added a level of warmth even when in reality it wasn’t warm at all. Layering and suggesting warm tones to my clients for winter sessions is honestly the best way to combat the cold weather while still creating a warm tone to your images. I can’t wait for the next time I get to shoot with these two kind, creative people and I’m so pleased with this Valentine’s Day session.
Dogs at a couples session?! YES. Always yes. Liz and Andrew were such a dream to work with and this session features some of my favorite hidden spots near my home. Ideally, all my couples shoots should feel like a date or a part of your daily life with your favorite person because that’s the key for creating these natural photos. Involving your pets or suggesting activities that you love doing as a couple are just a couple ways to make the most of having a photographer document your love for each other.
